In the middle of what should have been a celebration for
a 15th birthday party
, a shootout between two gangs left
a 16-year-old dead
and another wounded in the leg in a neighborhood of the city of Córdoba.
The night began with an innocent celebration: a quinceanera party in a modest house on Block 37 Lot 15 in the
Los Fresnos
neighborhood .
The young hostess, excited to share her joy, extended the
invitation through social media
, which attracted about
30 or 40 teenagers
who came to enjoy her birthday.
However, what promised to be a night of laughter and dancing soon turned into a scene of tension and violence.
The first signs of trouble arose around 6:10 in the morning, when a fight broke out between two young men who belonged to
different factions
in the neighborhood.
The verbal altercation soon escalated into a fistfight, involving groups of friends of those involved in the initial fight.
One of these bands was made up of five young people, while the other had twice as many members, making up 15 participants in total.
The situation came to a head when one of the teenagers pulled out a firearm, triggering chaos and panic at the party.
The aggressor aimed and
shot at the chest of Joaquín Toledo
, a 16-year-old boy.
Seriously injured, the teenager and his friend managed to escape to a nearby street, where they sat on the sidewalk.
Joaquín Toledo, wounded, was taken to the Emergency Hospital of Córdoba, where he died.

But their brief respite was cut short by the senseless brutality of the attacker, who found them and
shot them again
, this time with even greater ferocity.
Three more bullets entered the chest of the already wounded young man, who was also hit in the forearm.
Additionally, the friend who was trying to help him was shot in the left leg.
The young people were taken to the Emergency Hospital.
Toledo died in that medical center,
according to the newspaper La Voz.
His friend, although seriously injured, managed to survive thanks to the care he received at the scene.
Hours later, around 11 o'clock, the Córdoba Police arrested the alleged aggressor, a 21-year-old young man named
Lautaro Diciocco
.
His capture occurred in a police operation in the Ciudad de mis Sueños neighborhood, where he was taking refuge in a house.
Several eyewitnesses provided testimony and helped investigators reach the suspect.
However, one crucial piece of the puzzle remains missing: the murder weapon.
It is speculated that the attacker may have discarded it before being captured.
