As a result, he has not yet been given a place in a special clinic at the Bundeswehr University in Berlin.

He is said to have been reported missing in his hometown of Iserlohn in North Rhine-Westphalia.

There he told relatives that he wanted to be shot by the police.

He is also said to have asked the police to kill him.

Ulm's mayor relieved about the outcome of the hostage situation

Mayor Gunter Czisch (CDU) expressed relief at the outcome of the crime.
