In reality, it is a technocratic nightmare representing the worst that the egalitarian machinery can produce.
Whether it is the algorithm or the criteria of the establishments themselves, opacity reigns.
For the high school student, we have substituted the anxiety of arbitrariness for that of competition.
Now, the latter is much preferable to the former, because we can at least act on the second.
