Highlights: Citizens' initiative starts online petition against demolition of illegal buildings with the aim of toleration and use for social purposes. "BIWOB" is campaigning for the three black buildings on the Isarspitz in the Weidach district of Wolfratshausen. If black buildings were tolerated, the sponsor of a social project could then rent a house “for a symbolic euro”, excluding additional costs. The daughter would remain the owner, despite the toleration, “but would not be allowed to use the houses,” says BIWOB spokesman Burkhard Stüwe.

Geretsried/Wolfratshausen - The citizens' initiative BIWOB was recently founded from the SOS Sozialwerk association in Geretsried.

The aim of this is to prevent the destruction of living space.

Your current project: Averting the demolition of the black buildings on the Isarwinkel in Wolfratshausen in order to use them for social purposes.

Since 2011, the SOS Sozialwerk association in Geretsried has been supporting citizens in problematic life situations with its concept.

The citizens' initiative BIWOB was founded, which supports citizens in Geretsried and the surrounding area with building law issues.

She recently launched an online petition against the destruction of living space.

The citizens' initiative against the destruction of living space, abuse of building rights and arbitrariness by authorities, or BIWOB for short, founded in October 2023, is campaigning for the three black buildings on the Isarspitz in the Weidach district of Wolfratshausen - including with an online petition

.

Fact: About a year ago, the developer and his daughter, the owner of the three single-family houses numbers 24, 24a and 25, received an order in the mail to demolish the houses.

Stüwe do not want to question this order.

In principle, the behavior of the building authorities when it comes to destroying living space is fundamentally incomprehensible to Stüwe - because it is rare.

That's why he wants to take action against the destruction of housing with the new citizens' initiative and work towards the goal of obtaining tolerance and use for social purposes for the affected houses on the Isarspitz.

The planned demolition of newly built residential buildings on the Wolfratshauser Isarspitz was on everyone's lips and, according to BIWOB spokesman Burkhard Stüwe, the idea came about to obtain a right of toleration and use with an online petition.

Saving houses in Wolfratshausen: social purposes

“The intention to save the houses in order to make them available for social purposes has so far met with broad approval,” said civil engineer Peter Pauker.

If black buildings were tolerated, the following scenario would be possible: the sponsor of a social project could then rent a house “for a symbolic euro”, excluding additional costs.

The daughter would remain the owner, despite the toleration, “but would not be allowed to use the houses,” says Stüwe.

Improve communication with authorities: out-of-court solutions sought

Such a solution is currently out of the question for both the district office and the city of Wolfratshausen.

Nevertheless, a BIWOB working group made up of lawyers, architects and civil engineers is currently “preparing correspondence with the Wolfratshausen city council and the district building authority in Bad Tölz,” said Stüwe, in order to “improve communication” and “push forward” out-of-court solutions.

Instead of “making an example” of a black farmer, as was the case at the Isarspitz, according to Pauker, “a social approach should also be adopted by law – this is where politics is called for.”
