The European Football Championship will take place in Germany in 2024.

If you want to see one of the games live, you should arrange accommodation well in advance.

Since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was held in winter instead of the usual summer, it seems as if the last major football festival was not that long ago.

But in 2024 it will be that time again and this time the best teams in Europe will meet in Germany.

The opponents for the group stage have been determined and the first tickets have already been sold.

This means that football fans who have to travel specifically to the game are looking for accommodation.

The holiday home booking portal

Holidu

has analyzed how much overnight stays at the venues currently cost.

However, the evaluation refers to holiday homes and apartments.

The price range for hotels could be different.

Germany will face Scotland in the opening game on June 14th at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Anyone who books accommodation for the match day in the Bavarian capital now (as of January 2024) will pay 152 euros per night and person, as

Holidu

informs.

It is clear that prices rise during the European Championships - overnight stays cost around 83 percent more than in the comparable week in May.

If that's too expensive for you, you can switch to cities like Landshut (52 euros) or Ingolstadt (65 euros).

From there, the Allianz Arena can be reached in under an hour by car.

The second game of the group phase for Germany takes place in Stuttgart – against their opponents Hungary.

Accommodation prices are around 113 euros.

Last but not least, the national team plays against Switzerland.

Holiday apartments and holiday homes that are now being booked in Frankfurt cost around 129 euros.

Still quiet so far: Accommodation prices at the locations after the group phase

From the round of 16, accommodation can be purchased even cheaper.

However, it is not yet known which teams will compete here and where.

For example, a holiday home or holiday apartment in Berlin costs 90 euros for the match day on June 29th, the most expensive in Cologne on June 30th at 122 euros, and the cheapest in Leipzig on July 2nd at 46 euros.

The situation is similar for the quarter-finals, where an overnight stay costs between 73 euros (Hamburg/July 5th) and 108 euros (Düsseldorf/July 6th).

The semi-finals are apparently very far away for many, as accommodation is still available in Munich on July 9th for 78 euros and on July 10th in Dortmund for 60 euros.

The final in Berlin will finally take place on July 14th in Berlin.

Anyone who currently books will pay 86 euros per night and person.

Prices could rise further as the European Championship progresses

Accommodation prices could soon shoot up, as

Holidu

spokeswoman Heike Müller says.

So far, only a portion of 1.2 million tickets have been sold.

“When the next ticket winners are announced and informed on January 31st, we expect another peak in search queries and bookings.” She points out that prices are also dynamic for holiday homes and apartments and are set by landlords depending on demand be adjusted.

“We assume that some prices will increase once it is known which teams are playing when and where.”
