Hamm - An indoor tournament in North Rhine-Westphalia got completely out of hand on Saturday.
At least six people were injured in the Peace School sports hall during a dispute during a football game between two teams in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia.
Indoor soccer tournament escalates completely - until a shot is fired
A 31-year-old was hit by a shot from a blank pistol and was slightly injured, the police said on Sunday.
According to the police, the dispute initially escalated around 4:50 p.m. over a verbal argument during a game between two Hammer teams.
This resulted in a fight between players, staff and spectators.
In addition to the 31-year-old, five other people present between the ages of 22 and 41 were injured.
The man with the blank pistol fled, according to the report.
The police suspect a 21-year-old.
She seized a car that was presumably used as a hiding place for the murder weapon.
The soccer tournament was canceled.
