- Here are the songs from the Sanremo Festival at first listen (in the order in which we listened to them).

CLARA - ROUGH DIAMONDS -

The winner of Sanremo Giovani brings her urban world between warbles and high notes, daughter of the Mahmood era.

RATING 5 DIODATO-TI MOVI-Already a winner at the festival, she confirms with a ballad her delicate ability to write and explore human feelings.

RATING 7

MAHMOOD - TUTA GOLD -

Hints of bullying and racism, and again the tormented relationship with his father for a song that perhaps won't be able to make a hat trick in the palmares, but it doesn't disappoint.

RATING 6.5 SANGIOVANNI - FINISH ME - Dedication with apologies to ex-girlfriend Giulia Stabile.

Syncopated, but to return to Ariston something more was needed.

RATING 5

LOREDANA BERTÈ - CRAZY -

Loredana never gives up and puts her rock foot on the festival.

Autobiographical piece that absolves and absolves itself.

RATING 7.5

BNKR44 - PUNK GOVERNMENT -

Pop punk that doesn't convince at first listen.

And anyone expecting a political text will be disappointed.

RATING 4.5

ALESSANDRA AMOROSO - UP TO HERE -

For her debut in competition at the festival with a ballad, she chooses a quote from the film L'Odio by Mathieu Kassovitz (as well as by Vasco): "the problem is not the fall but the landing".

But also the song a little.

RATING 5.5

FRED DE PALMA - SKY DOESN'T TAKE IT -

Urban song that veers towards enthralling dance, despite the fact that at the center there is a troubled love.

RATING 5

FIORELLA MANNOIA - MARIPOSA -

South American rhythms in which the artist has always been at ease and which give the song, a manifesto for women and with a quote from Una niente e centomila, a fascinating saudade.

RATING 7

THE KOLORS - ONE BOY ONE GIRL

- From one catchphrase to another.

After having hit the jackpot with Italodisco, the band tries again.

Smart chorus (which makes up for an intro that reminds us a little too much of Salirò by Daniele Silvestri) that will arrive in the summer.

The radio thanks.

RATING 6.5

EMMA - APNEA -

The echo of the Eighties reaches here.

A little Rafaella Carrà, a little Viola Valentino, a little Claudia Mori.

Emma finds the right piece.

RATING 6.5

FRENCH SAINTS - LOVE IN THE MOUTH -

Funky soul song for a little mystery that remains a mystery for the duo too.

RATING 6

ROSE VILLAIN - CLICK BOOM!

-

A melodic start to then open up to urban.

Hypnotic chorus, with that boom boom boom that gets into your head.

RATING 5

NEGRAMARO - LET'S START EVERYTHING AGAIN -

Sangiorgi style ballad, with a pinch of Coldplay thanks to the arrangements by Davide Rossi.

It promises thrills at Ariston.

RATING 7

BIGMAMA - ANGER IS NOT ENOUGH -

Anger and revenge channeled (well) into music.

BigMama is a great discovery at the festival with her body positivity.

RATING 7

RENGA AND NEK - CRAZY ABOUT YOU -

The duo has many spectators faithful to tradition (read aunts and surroundings).

RATING 5.5

GHALI - CASA MIA -

Well-focused piece by the rapper, who, playing with electronics, confronts the world, taking a stand against the war.

RATING 7

IRAMA - YOU DON'T

- He has always done well at Ariston, but this time he ends up among the screamers.

He risks too much.

RATING 5

ANGELINA MANGO - BOREDOM

- Boredom is only in the title, the young artist confirms that talent is not only in the surname.

She recovers the popular music of Colombian cumbia and it's a party.

RATING 7

GEOLIER - I P' ME, TU P' TE -

The favorite of the day before and king of the 2023 charts, everything is played with a song in Neapolitan.

Bring Secondigliano to Sanremo, in defiance of everyone.

RATING 7.5

MANINNI - SPECTACULAR -

Amadeus kept this song in his drawer for a year.

But the question is: why?

Not very incisive pop.

RATING 5

LA SAD - SELF-DESTRUCTIVE

- Love and self-destructive pop for the band that should have caused discussion.

And yet it goes almost unnoticed.

RATING 6

GAZZELLE - ALL HERE -

Northern Rome reigns supreme in the singer-songwriter's song.

Teen quote for him.

RATING 6

ANNALISA - SINCERELY -

The hit queen does not deny herself: a very rhythmic song and a chorus that drives you crazy (when when when).

RATING 6.5

ALPHA - GO!

-

The whistle is reminiscent of LP, uptempo that will at least keep you awake late at night.

Youth poster.

RATING 6

IL VOLO - MASTERPIECE

- The three boys who are now men try to take off the vintage patina, but you can bet that the older generations will appreciate it more.

From bel canto to bel pop, the Ariston will appreciate.

RATING 6.5

DARGEN D'AMICO - HIGH WAVE -

With rhythm and irony Dargen tackles social issues.

The high wave is the one that migrants face, but also the one that drags the listener along.

RATING 7

THE THREE - FRAGILE -

Admission of fragility and sad eyes.

Maybe something more was needed to get noticed.

RATING 5.5

MR.RAIN - TWO SWINGS -

A sort of Superheroes, chapter 2. But the surprise effect is no longer there.

RATING 5

RICH AND POOR - BUT NOT ALL OF LIFE -

Long gone are the times of Che Sara and Mamma Maria, electropop and straight bass are crazy for them too.

Squares already booked throughout Italy.

 RATING 6.5
