11th graders from Otaf are together for the first time since October 7/Dalit Ilan

114 days which is closer to four months.

By all accounts it's a crazy time for people to live away from home.

How can it be that the damage done by Hamas terrorists in a few hours, extends over so many months and there is no end in sight?

The state systems collapsed, the trust that was violated, was broken and we discovered that we had been lied to for years.

The only "blind" trust

we placed in the IDF blew up in our faces like a grenade.

Instead of the state coming to its senses and leading, it lets the residents do it alone.

It cannot be that four months after the event, the education systems for the evacuees fail to function properly, there are no teachers, there are no hours are arranged and there is no consistent framework

Our children are torn, what will happen to them in a year, in four years, when they will graduate, when they will go to universities.

How is it perceived that four months after the event, the state continues to fight the residents of Otaf with bureaucracy and politics at the expense of the residents they abandoned.

A government that continues to quarrel with us and commit discrimination, rift, gender and local hatred over who is entitled to a grant and who is not, who is defined as a covert and who is not, who entered them as terrorists and who did not.

How can it be that a settlement located up to four kilometers away cannot return home, and those located 4.2 kilometers away can return?

We understand today more than ever that we are of no interest to anyone and no diskette has changed, and probably will not.

It can't be that we, as self-employed people who have a business in Otef, who even have a hard time running a business in the state in general and in the Otef region in particular, have not received a single shekel from the state to date, not on the "account" not an advance, we have simply been forgotten and according to them we will manage on our own.

We are crushed financially and mentally.

At this time, when the country is engaged in endless fighting, which seems to have no real purpose, certainly not for the residents of the surrounding area or the north, there are 126 thousand evacuees cut off from their homes.

Anyone who thinks that living in a 4 meter by 4 meter room for four months is a treat or a pleasure, even if it is a hotel, is welcome to come and sleep in our place.

We don't have a sofa or an armchair to watch TV in the evening, there is only a bed.

We don't have the option to eat whenever we want or open the fridge just to have a snack.

We don't have a private room to escape to for some quiet, neither as parents nor as children.

We settle for one shelf per person and not a wardrobe in every room.

We sign up in line to do laundry and have to meet the deadlines so as not to delay the rest.

We wash dishes in the bathroom sink.

We sleep on armchairs and sofa beds.

And no, we don't clean our rooms for those who are wondering, we do that ourselves.

And you know what, we have no problem continuing to live like this as long as necessary.

Willing to continue staying in the rooms as long as the state really does a job properly, so that we can return to living safely and securely in our home.

Not ready to stop fighting to return to the same situation we left, we need to end politics at the expense of the blood of the country's citizens.

We have no doubt that this is a complex event, but it was not the citizens who brought us to this situation, but the state leadership with years of neglect of the surrounding areas in the south and north.

The country must wake up in so many ways and fronts that we are not sure there is anyone else in the country.

Apparently we are alone and have no one to trust but ourselves.
