A 35-year-old has to go to prison because she killed a man with a salt crystal lamp.
The Bonn regional court sentenced the woman to five years in prison on Wednesday for manslaughter.
Bonn - The judges saw it as proven that the Dutch woman had hit the 42-year-old in the back of the head six times with the lamp in his apartment in 2017.
According to the verdict, he had previously forcefully demanded sex from her.
The two knew each other from the drug world.
The woman made a confession during the trial, which was partly closed to the public.
The investigators only tracked down the woman a good six years after the crime, after she attacked a police officer near Utrecht.
She then had to provide a saliva sample.
A comparison in the DNA database resulted in a match with a trace found at the crime scene in Bonn.
In its verdict, the jury agreed with an expert's report, according to which the defendant's ability to control the crime was limited due to her drug addiction and early experiences of violence.
She can serve her sentence in the Netherlands.
