Shavas: 39 female security prisoners and minor security prisoners were released from three Shavas prisons/barracks
The ousted SBS spokesman, Gonder Mishna Yoni Chafetz, petitioned the Central District Court today (Thursday) against his dismissal by Acting SBS Commissioner Gonder Kobi Yaakovi, and demanded that he be reinstated.
Gen. Hefetz was appointed to the position in 2021 by the then Minister of Internal Security, Amir Ohana, together with retired Commissioner Cathy Perry, and held the position until the appointment of Gonder Yacovi, about two weeks ago.
Gen. Hefetz was summoned to the office of the Minister of National Security, shortly after the farewell ceremony from the Commissioner Perry, and was informed of the termination of his position by Yacovi, "without any objective reason, not even in appearance, without giving the right of argument. There is no law and no justice in the public service in Israel," according to the petition.
According to the petition, it is a "political and improper impeachment. An act of revenge against GNM Hefetz because he served in his position also under the commissioner who finished her duty.

Hefetz also claims that after he was informed of his dismissal, he was excluded from discussions of the command staff and the organization's spokesperson team, a WhatsApp group of the senior staff was opened behind Hefetz's back, and did not include him.
"The petitioner was loyal to the organization and carried out his duties professionally, also according to the Minister of National Security. As someone who regretted his flag to clash with the Peri Commission in any way, and to 'cleanse' the SHBS of people who worked under it, Minister Ben Gvir decided to empty the petitioner's position until the end His role."
The prison service stated: "The issue is under legal review."
