Against Putin's traps: Ukraine is supposed to secretly develop science fiction robots

Pictures of some spectacular robots and drones from the Ukrainian armed forces are becoming public.

They are supposed to neutralize a devastating Russian trap.

Avdiivka – It feels like they are everywhere in the Ukraine war: drones.

As the online portal

Defense Express (DE)

writes, for example, the German company Quantum-Systems from Gilching near Munich is now delivering 100 “Trinity” reconnaissance drones.

Against Russian army: Ukrainians develop new battlefield robots

But drones are not only used in the air by Ukraine, but also on the ground.

While the Russian invading army is exerting pressure, particularly in the east between the Kharkiv and Luhansk regions, the Ukrainian armed forces have apparently secretly developed a veritable science fiction robot army, whose companions are taking on particularly difficult tasks on the battlefield.

It was previously known that the self-propelled kamikaze drone “Honey Badger” could be directed into Russian positions or vehicles.

In the meantime, a whole series of additional ground drones have apparently been added.

Two of these ground drones are apparently intended to help keep casualties against Russia's invading army lower than has been the case so far, while the situation for the Ukrainian defenders in the east between Kreminna and Kupiansk is becoming increasingly difficult.

Specifically: One of the two ground drones is slightly smaller and can - driving flat above the ground - pull anti-tank mines behind it with a rope (see tweet) and thus lay them without them having to be buried by Ukrainian soldiers at great risk.

Ukraine war: ground drones should neutralize mines

According to images on Telegram, the other ground drone is estimated to be half a meter high and has powerful tires that are as high as the housing.

This comparatively small deminer can probably be moved in a safe hiding place by a drone pilot using a camera.

What the immense tires do: The drone can push a chain device in front of it, which rotates quickly on a thread and is thus driven into the ground.

The chains, when moved to the front, are intended to cause mines to explode and cut entire swathes into sections of the front that are cleared and safer for the infantry.

The front of the vehicle is protected against the explosion by a plate made of armored steel.

Furthermore, a combat robot on four tires was even spotted on the battlefield, which has mounted a powerful M2 machine cannon that can be operated autonomously from a distance.

Combat drone “tank ship”: Kiev is experimenting with a new weapon

According to

Bild,

Kiev's army has recently been experimenting with this armed combat drone called "Panzerschiff".

The vehicle had already been used in an attack on a Russian post near Bakhmut in Donbass.

“The boys (

Kyiv Post

.

He gave an example: “Our honey badger can traverse any terrain, like a jeep.”

Ostapchuk further explained that the drone can “quietly approach the enemy and easily overcome obstacles up to 20-25 centimeters high, as well as effectively maneuver on sandy terrain,” wrote the

Kyiv Post

.

At a speed of up to 24 km/h, the “honey badger” can carry a payload of up to 40 kilograms.

In military language, payload means the amount of explosives that is traditionally paid out to the enemy.

So now more combat robots have been added.
