It caused damage to many vehicles.
The hole in the roadway of the A15 motorway located at exit 10, Pontoise-Les Louvrais, direction Paris, will be repaired during the week of February 5 to 9.
“This work will make it possible to treat this pothole in depth and therefore resolve the problem,” announces the Île-de-France Roads Department (Dirif), which is responsible for the maintenance of highways and national roads in the region.
Dirif explains that it has identified a hole in the road since the end of December.
“We have also received reports from users (in small numbers) from the beginning of January,” she specifies.
She explains that she regularly resealed it when she became aware of its existence.
“However, the climatic conditions (episodes of snow and ice) and the amount of traffic on this axis contributed to accelerating the damage to the roadway and the reformation of the pothole,” she adds.
Several complaints from surprised motorists
To definitively resolve this problem, Dirif preferred to wait until the winter episodes in January had passed.
“The organization of this work also required nighttime closures (one per direction), which had to be planned in advance,” she emphasizes.

Several motorists who were surprised by this pothole testified in our columns.
Among them, Mélanie burst a tire and damaged her wheel while driving at 90 km/h on January 17.
After being towed, she had to pay for the replacement of two shock absorbers, a ball joint and a wishbone as well as re-aligning the wheels.
It cost him 1,300 euros in total.
She has since decided to file a complaint against Dirif for “endangering the lives of others”.
