During Sunday's vote, 54.5% of Parisians voted in favor of increasing the parking rate for SUVs.


The reactions were not long in coming.

As soon as the results of the vote on differentiated taxation for SUV parking were announced, the mayor (LR) of the 17th arrondissement of Paris Geoffroy Boulard denounced on Parisians again.”

The elected official can easily illustrate his point by the result of the election, which reveals a clear divide between east and west.

On the scale of the capital, two trends are distinctly emerging: the six districts of western Paris – the 6th, 7th, 8th, 15th, 16th and 17th centuries – voted in large majority against the creation of a specific rate of parking for heavy vehicles.
