Wishes for recovery from several countries

Meanwhile, numerous personalities from home and abroad wished the king a speedy recovery.

The news shocked and saddened him like everyone else, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told the BBC.

“And all our thoughts are with him and his family.

US President Joe Biden, whose son Beau died of cancer, also expressed his condolences.

Dealing with a cancer diagnosis as well as treatment and life afterwards require hope and absolute courage, Biden wrote on Platform X. His wife Jill and he would pray that Charles would get well again quickly.

Charles is not the only one among the royals who is sick

The British royals are currently facing several bad news.

The wife of heir to the throne Prince William, Princess Kate (42), has to take a long break after an abdominal operation.

The ex-wife of Charles' brother Prince Andrew, Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson (64), now suffers from skin cancer after a breast cancer diagnosis.

Unlike Charles' daughter-in-law Kate, whose diagnosis remained private, the royal family provided more information about the king's illness.

“His Majesty has chosen to share his diagnosis to avoid speculation,” the statement said.

Charles' older son William (41) had taken a step back because of his wife's operation and had taken more care of the family.

Shortly before Charles' cancer was announced, it was announced that William would now appear in public again after his break.

This Wednesday he is scheduled to host a ceremony at Windsor Castle and take part in a fundraising gala.
