British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has commented on King Charles' cancer.

This allows conclusions to be drawn about the seriousness of the situation.

London – British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (43) commented on this after it became known that King Charles (75) had cancer.

As “apnews.com” reports, he was “shocked and sad,” but also expressed relief that he said the cancer was detected early.

The disease was discovered during a prostate treatment the king had recently undergone.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak wants to continue communicating with King Charles as usual

According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles, who has not yet revealed which cancer he is suffering from, has already started outpatient treatment.

Sunak expressed his condolences and said he would “continue to communicate with him as usual”.

The 75-year-old should therefore continue to attend weekly meetings with the Prime Minister and other royal tasks.

Sunak seemed reasonably confident that the monarch's health will improve and that the cancer is only a temporary phase.

“So we will stand by him and hope that we can get this over with as quickly as possible,” said the British Prime Minister.

The palace said it did so "to avoid speculation and in the hope that it will promote public understanding of those affected by cancer around the world." What happens if King Charles abdicates?
