Disguised “Möhnen” stormed the town hall at 11:11 a.m.

The street carnival began in Düsseldorf with the traditional storming of the town hall by foolish women.
A large crowd had previously gathered in the state capital's market square on Thursday.
They braved the wet weather with umbrellas.
Düsseldorf - Mayor Stephan Keller (CDU) had the usual war of words from the town hall balcony with the “Möhnen” and their leader, Carnival Princess Venetia, before he gave in.
Finally, the historic blue town hall door flew open and the fools entered the municipal power center - and at the same time fled to dry land.
