A child was rescued Friday, February 9, nearly 60 hours after a landslide that killed at least 11 people in a mining village in the southern Philippines, leaving more than a hundred missing.

A girl, whose age was not revealed, was found by rescuers digging with their bare hands and shovels for survivors in the village of Masara in southern Mindanao island, a Edward Macapili, head of the disaster management agency of Davao de Oro province, told AFP.
