There seems to be a lot going on for Martin Gruber and his family...
Ellmau – Just a few more months of patience, then new episodes of “Der Bergdoktor” will finally flicker across the screens again.
After the very dramatic 16th season of the ZDF home series, many fans would like one thing above all: that some peace would finally return to the Grubers' lives.
While not much is known about the plot of the eight new episodes, it seems as if there will be turbulent times again in Ellmau from January 2024 - including some explosive family moments...
Linn's secret daughter?
Andrea Gerhard alludes to the twist in the 17th “Bergdoktor” season
The last “Bergdoktor” season was all about an old secret: the love affair between Martin Gruber (Hans Sigl, 54) and Sonja, the deceased wife of his brother Hans (Heiko Ruprecht, 51).
As expected, this old flirtation drove a wedge between Lisbeth Gruber's (Monika Baumgartner, 72) sons and ultimately resulted in the two no longer speaking to each other and their mother, visibly suffering from the tensions in her family, in a coma fell.
What will happen next for the Grubers in the 17th “Bergdoktor” season is still uncertain, apart from one or two details – such as that Lisbeth will not die a serial death and that an old flame of Martin’s will return to Ellmau.
On her Instagram profile, Andrea Gerhard (39), who has been part of the party as Linn Kemper since season 12, now shared a photo with Ylvi Unertl, Sophia Gruber, the daughter of Hans and Susanne (Natalie O'Hara, 46), plays.
“Do you also see the amazing resemblance… that gives me an idea…” writes Andrea Gerhard, “Maybe at some point it will come out that Sophia Gruber is Linn's daughter?” This twist wouldn't work - but it would definitely be amazing. “The birth was too turbulent for that, right?” one fan comments on Andrea’s bizarre theory, while another suggests how the whole thing could be treated in the series: “Mixed up in the hospital.”
Hans Sigl – no talent?
At the beginning of his career, Hans Sigl had a bitter experience, as he revealed to SWR this year: an acting teacher didn't believe in his ability and accused him of being "too bad" and "too big": "He auditioned, "It won't work, he can't do anything, that's bad, he's too big," he quoted the man who initially put obstacles in his way.
In the end, things turned out differently: acting teacher Gretl Fröhlich came along during the audition and decided to take him on.

Andrea Gerhard only shared her own theory with fans that there could be drastic changes in the Grubers' lives in the 17th "Bergdoktor" season, but it is far from ruled out.
Because for the new episodes, Hans Sigl and Ronja Forcher receive support from Jonas Kaufmann (20).
Although snapshots from the set made it seem as if the likeable newcomer could have a love story with Lilli Gruber, there may be something even more exciting behind it.

Because the fact that Jonas and Ronja have the same brown curls and that Hans Sigl spoke to the young man in a video from the shoot about “children, children of the shoot” raises an important question: Could Jonas be Martin's illegitimate son? Play Gruber, who suddenly appears in the life of the tough country doctor in season 17?
This is not out of the question - after all, he has numerous past romances behind him and every “Bergdoktor” fan who still remembers season 1 knows: shocking paternity revelations are not new territory in Ellmau.
