Cologne - It's finally that time again and the hot phase of the Cologne Carnival is upon us: Since Weiberfastnacht (February 8th) there has been a state of emergency in Cologne.
There is swaying and singing everywhere.
Cologne is also fun on weekends.
There are different highlights on every day.

The carnival schedule for Friday: This is what's going on in and around Cologne
► Numerous parties take place in Cologne on Carnival Friday (February 9th).
► The pub carnival goes into another round.

The carnival schedule for Saturday: This is what's going on in and around Cologne
► Carnival is also celebrated in many bars in Cologne on Carnival Saturday (February 10th).
► The Rote Funken Köln radio bivouac also takes place on Neumarkt.
There will then be a celebration in the middle of the square.
In addition to the nine traditional corps, the most popular carnival bands always perform at the traditional event.
► Especially on Saturday, carnival fans often and traditionally spend quite a long time on the road to sway and celebrate together.
The carnival schedule for Sunday: This is what's going on in and around Cologne
► There will also be another big celebration on Carnival Sunday.
Instead of one big party hotspot, there are many celebration options in the individual Veedeln.
► In addition to numerous parties, the popular Schull- und Veedelszöch 2024 will take place on Carnival Sunday.
Numerous clubs and schools parade through the city with unusual, colorful and homemade costumes.
Every year there are up to 8,000 participants and over 300,000 jeckes on the side of the road.
The traditional Rose Monday procession takes place on Rose Monday.
Up to 1.5 million people visit the Cologne Zoch.
However, there could be a problem with the Cologne Rose Monday procession in 2024.
It is currently not clear whether Virgo Frieda can take part.
“We support Jungfrau Frieda wherever we can,” says festival committee president Christoph Kuckelkorn.
“But health comes first, of course.”
