An altercation that goes wrong or a settling of scores?
A man in his thirties was seriously injured by gunfire this Saturday in Cergy.
After a trip to the operating room, however, his life would no longer be in danger.
But for now, the perpetrator of the shooting has still not been identified and arrested.
An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Cergy police station.
Contacted, the Pontoise public prosecutor's office did not respond to our requests.
Known for drug trafficking
The events allegedly occurred early in the afternoon in front of a grocery store in Cergy, not far from the victim's home.
According to him, it was an altercation with another man that turned bad.
The perpetrator, whom he claims not to know, allegedly fired a pistol in his direction, hitting him in the abdomen.
But the injured man, who is known to the police for drug trafficking, has not given further details for the moment.
On site, the police did not find any element or clue which would have been useful to their investigation, made all the more difficult in the absence of video surveillance cameras which could have recorded the scene.
Despite his injuries, the affected man still managed to make his own way to the emergency room of the René-Dubos hospital center in Pontoise where he was taken care of and operated on without delay.
