Taking the departmental roads in the heart of the Brenne regional natural park, it is difficult to miss the thirteen imposing pylons erected in the heart of the site in the shape of a hexagon protected by barbed wire.
On a bad weather day, it is sometimes impossible to distinguish the top of the most imposing construction.
The one which culminates at 357 meters in height, holding the record for the tallest structure in France ahead of the Millau Viaduct and the Eiffel Tower.
This is just two kilometers from the small village of Rosnay, where less than 500 souls live.
“It’s impressive the first time you arrive and also at night, because it lights up.
But the inhabitants of the village have got used to it
,” reports Richard Williams, first deputy mayor of this commune in Indre.
Having fallen in love with his Berry “paradise”, the chosen one must deal with these impressive installations in the landscape.
