Appointed in Moscow in 2017 after having been stationed in China then in London, Sylvie Bermann was, each time, the first woman to occupy the post of ambassador in these three member countries of the UN Security Council.
The 70-year-old diplomat, whose grandmother was Russian, is the author of “Madame the Ambassador”
