The city of Trieste has been shrouded in fog for a few days due to particular and unusual weather conditions.
The phenomenon, very rare in the past, has recently manifested itself with some frequency.
Thus, you can see from above, a thick fog descends from the Karst along the ridge that leads to the sea and stops exactly over the city center and part of the gulf in front.
Even from the coast, traveling by train or car, this morning it was not possible to distinguish the sea from the sky, with a large horizontal area in which the panorama was enveloped by the blanket and the clouds in a single, mixed scenario.
The climate is also affected by this singular phenomenon and although the temperatures are not low and in any case above the seasonal average, the air is crisp and pungent.
