This morning, nurseries and kindergartens finally reopened: they had been closed since the terrorist attack of October 7.
Irit Elyah Dahan is responsible for these establishments for the sixteen communities gathered within the Sdot Negev regional council.
She has just distributed pastries to the educational staff.
A small sticker is stuck on each box:
“It’s so good to see you again
,” we can read.
The Sdot Negev Regional Council includes two kibbutz and fourteen yishuvs located in the "Gaza envelope", a 7 kilometer area along the border with the Palestinian territory.
Residents have the right to return home.
They had been exfiltrated in a panic the day after October 7 and, since then, had been living with family in a hotel.
