After his “Wetten, dass...?” farewell, Thomas Gottschalk is now said to be in discussion as the new “dream ship” captain.
He says that himself.
Cologne – In their podcast “Die Supernasen” Mike Krüger (72) and Thomas Gottschalk (73) talk about a new rumor in the episode “Cannabis Club”.
Mike announced in the "Supernasen Supernews" that while browsing online services to collect stories for the podcast, he came across something that he found "sensational" - Thomas Gottschalk is supposed to become the "dream ship" captain.

“You are being discussed as the new 'dream ship' captain!
Did you notice that?" he asked the former "Wetten, dass...?" presenter.
However, Thomas, who recently revealed how he met his Karina, replied that he hadn't heard anything about it other than from Mike in connection with this podcast.
“Every day I wait for the call from the casting office and think about whether it makes sense to step into Silbereisen’s shoes or whether Silbereisen should actually step into my shoes.”

Otherwise, Gottschalk considered himself suitable: he had both the necessary maturity and the shipping license for inland waters and Lake Constance.
“I was once a shipowner, had a small ship and sailed the German canals with my naval comradeship,” reported Gottschalk.
“Then you are actually predestined,” agreed Krüger and immediately wanted to offer himself as on-board doctor.
He could best imagine this as a scenario for the last episode if ZDF wanted to cancel the series.

“Then it would be like a 'Titanic' episode,” Krüger imagined the sinking of the “dream ship”.
He even had the title ready for it: “Two noses drowned super”.
However, Gottschalk doubted that ZDF could follow Krüger's creativity.
He, on the other hand, had already been invited to appear in an episode of Captain Max Parger.

Gottschalk didn't make any friends there by submitting an alternative version of the episode, at the end of which a captain's hat was floating alone on the ocean.
“Our last ideas are simply no longer being implemented, and I don’t know why,” Mike concluded, somewhat ironically.
So it doesn't look like there's any truth to the rumors that Gottschalk will be the "dream ship" captain.
The rumors about Gottschalk's alleged successor at ZDF have already made waves and led to trouble with the Kaulitz brothers.
