The Sapienza Committee for Palestine, made up of the promoters of the appeal of 9 November, asks to open the debate inside and outside Sapienza, and "take a stand for peace".

Grant holders, doctoral students and teachers invite their colleagues to join the protest which will materialize with the general strike for Palestine scheduled for February 23rd.

Participation in the protest - explain the promoters - will materialize in the donation of daily emoluments to UNRWA (United Nations Agency for the Relief and Employment of Palestinian Refugees in the Near East) "as an active contribution to support the civilian victims of international crimes perpetrated by the Israeli army. With this symbolic and concrete gesture we intend to protest against the absurd and ferocious suspension of the disbursement of funding in favor of the agency decided by Italy and other governments, during the Israeli bombings which in recent months have claimed tens of thousands of civilian victims and caused an enormous number of displaced people.

We invite all teaching staff, research assistants and doctoral students to join this form of protest".
