Brussels authorized on Tuesday the merger of the Spanish activities of telecommunications operators Orange and MasMovil, after obtaining that they cede part of their network to their competitor Digi.
The conditions imposed on the two operators
“fully address the competition concerns”
that had been identified and
“will preserve a competitive telecommunications market in Spain, both in terms of price and quality, as well as in terms of deployment of the 5G network, in the interest of consumers
,” said the European Commission.
