In 2 minutes 20, a lot happened.
Perched on a mound of grass in the middle of the fields, Romain Vieira Nogueira remembers the scenes from the filming which took place there a few months earlier.
There, under the lights of the spotlights and cameras, the young amateur director filmed his very first short film.
On the horizon, the bell tower of the childhood village with a reminder of the path traveled.
“As children, we spent days playing here.
We made a film there.
And all that in Mesnil-en-Thelle (Oise),” he says proudly.
The 23-year-old young man is the director of a short film entitled “Prometheus: the memory of destiny” which he shot entirely in this border village in Val-d'Oise.
Alongside his independent collective Prestyge Records, whose “hard core” is made up of his big brother and two friends, he participates in the Nikon Film Festival: a competition which rewards a film of 2 minutes 20 maximum on a given theme.
This year: Fire.
The jury will deliver its verdict on March 20 and will select the first 50 who will be invited on April 27 to the Grand Rex for the awards ceremony.
