I'm Revital Hermon.

42 years old, married and mother of four children.

October 7 is the day our lives changed from end to end.

We woke up to a morning of incessant rocket barrages.

Then, terrorists took over my city, which is south.

They were in my neighborhood.

The children are frightened by the sounds of gunfire, soldiers with drawn weapons are scanning under the building.

Hundreds of missing persons, murdered friends, paralyzing fear that penetrates the bones - along with the need to stay strong and convey resilience and strength to the family members.

The bloodbath that took place in the city was felt and as time passed - the fear increased.

How did our enemies overcome us?

How does the Holocaust happen again in 2023?

We arrived at the evacuee hotel in Eilat exhausted, suffering from deep pain and nightmares at night.

The children are not ready to enter the bathroom and shower alone.

In the hotel, we have no privacy, space or family. The children are first integrated into the study spaces in the hotels, and after a month they move again to a study space that was opened for Sderot children, which gave our children a very significant anchor and mental strength.

While the barrages on the enclave continue, and the echoes of explosions are heard in the city, the government decides to extend our stay in hotels until July 7th, makes sense on the whole.

But if we stay, in fact, we will be without educational frameworks and resilience centers, and with the opening of the tourist season - we will also move to another hotel.

But if you still decide that it is not safe for you to return to the city, the government proposes, we will bribe you with a few thousand shekels - because money buys everything except security.

And on the other hand, they threaten - if you don't return to work in the city, we will take you out to prison.

They order us in any way possible to return to the Sderot, to the rocket threat, to the danger, to the burning sounds of war, without any explicit statement that it is safe to return to the city because there really is no such thing. I invite you to be the decision makers Sleep one night in the city and experience how it feels.

I have no words to describe the shameful behavior of the government that does everything to bribe us to return to the most unsafe place.

The Ministry of Education that abandons us and causes a huge upheaval in the minds of our children who are going to go through an educational framework for the third time within six months.

After 22 years in which we survived, we stood firm, we were the abductor of the state.

Here we are promiscuous again.

Most of the residents of Sderot, and I am among them, will not be returning to the city anytime soon.

We are fed up with being told that "it will be fine, and we have weakened Hamas."

We are tired of being puppets on a string of the decision makers.

We will continue to wander, we will take a clear position: "Not again - this time we are changing reality", and of course - we will wish for the return of the abductees.

But in the end - we will return there.
