The decision of the Paris commercial court fell this Wednesday.
The Cityscoot company, placed in receivership last November, will be taken over by its competitor Cooltra.
The Spanish company's offer was the last in the running, after the court ruled that that of former manager Bertrand Fleurose inadmissible, due to lack of sufficient financial guarantees.
Cooltra plans to rehire 30 Cityscoot employees, out of the 157 active permanent contracts, in Paris and in 17 suburban communities.
The Italian subsidiary (present in Milan and Turin) has been liquidated.
The jobs saved in the Paris region are mainly those of maintenance agents (17), based in Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis) and Arcueil (Hauts-de-Seine).
“As the workforce is oversized and rental demand on the Parisian market has tended to stabilize over the past two years, these two factors require, out of prudence, the resumption of a limited number of employees to preserve the profitability of the activity,” explains Cooltra.
