TikTok is the most used social media platform in Italy followed by YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, according to the annual 'Digital 2024' report from the We Are Social group carried out in collaboration with the SanFrancisco based software service company Meltwater.


   Some 88% of the Italian population are connected to the Internet, the report said, and spend an average of almost six hours a day online.


   Some 43 million Italians or 73% of the population use socialmedia and go onto six different platforms each month, the reports said.


   TikTok topped the usage rankings with 32 hours and 12 minutes a month, followed by YouTube on 18 hours and 15 minutes, Facebook with 16 hours and 37 minutes, Instagram on 15 hours and 13 minutes, and WhatsApp with 13 hours and 54 minutes.
