The best of
What the River Does
:
the sacredness of the encounter.
Feel the audience crossed by one's own landscape.
That which is so ours and becomes universal.
Ritual in the theater:
arrive in time to check everything and prepare for the trip.
Watch me and my sister Paula and cheer us on from every leg of the stage when the lights go out and the show begins.
In my dressing room there is:
a white candle that I light before each performance.
Also something from my daughters, a drawing, a doll.
Directing, writing and acting involve...
mind, heart, soul and body!
The most magical thing about the river?
That I can rest my eyes on it and empty myself of everything, or almost everything, to slowly fill myself again with light and sunny things.
Memory from my childhood in Rosario:
When I accompanied my mother to the center.
The hot air that came out of the vents on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian
The Cairo bar with the flooded bathroom and the waiter named Luna.
My mom and dad's friends.
Aromas that make me happy:
Tangerines.
The jasmines.
My cat Hugo's neck.
The great little moments of my day are:
mate in the morning, kissing my daughters.
Listen to Cholo Gómez Castañón's program on Folklorica radio in the morning.
See what color the sky is at dawn, always a new day.
A place I would return to a thousand times:
Esquina.
I long to share the town with friends, see my dad spend his life, sing, have barbecues, be outdoors in every way.
The sky with so many stars that you feel like it is coming down on you.
The time we gained, feeling like we were losing it.
I would also return to almost all the places where there is sky and sun and you can hear birds singing.
Series that I loved:
Unorthodox.
Music fascinates me...
that the lyrics of the songs transport me.
I usually listen to Natalia Lafourcade, Tarragó Ros, Zitarrosa, Teresa Parodi, Calamaro, Ana Prada and Silvina Garré.
The most beautiful thing about Argentina?
People.
The way people are.
The depth of the links.
From the passage of time I rescue:
that I am still here to see it pass, in the first instance.
And that one learns to value it.
Every minute becomes a treasure.
Motherhood is:
learning from my daughters.
Share things with them.
Discover them.
Laugh
Discover what they are like.
They make me think, rethink, revisit thoughts that I thought would never change.
And change them.
They praise me:
the roasts.
To feel healthy...
I meditate.
I do therapy.
BAM Biomechanics applied to movement, with Teresa Zalazar, someone who changed my life with her technique and love.
I fantasize about knowing:
Havana.
My best advice:
Don't look to the side, you can only become a champion of yourself.
Favorite books:
Tourists, by Hebe Huart.
The Life of My Father, by Carver.
The Wind That Devastates, by Selva Almada.
Las Malas, by Camila Sosa Villada.
Now I'm reading Salo y Solo, by Mauricio Kartún.
and it is spectacular.
Damián continues to conquer me...
his sense of humor.
The way of thinking about life.
His passion for everything he does.
A pending:
Have time to play the guitar, make ceramics, paint and see more friends.
Also, teaching dramaturgy and acting, something I love.
