Assembly of the Marian Men's Congregation
Buch am Buchrain – “We can learn a lot from the 425 years of history of the Marian Men’s Congregation, but we must look forward.” This was announced by President Georg Greimel at the annual general meeting of the congregation in Buch am Buchrain.
In doing so, he brought the founding festival for the 425th anniversary, which will take place in Altötting this year, into full focus.
At the meeting in Gallo Nero, Johann Haberl was unanimously re-elected as chairman.
The Sodalians present also unanimously expressed their trust in cashier Bruno Lotz.
Alexander Lotz succeeds Kurt Kern as secretary.
He died unexpectedly the previous year.
Haberl was visibly shaken by the loss.
Kern has done a lot for volunteer work and also leaves a big gap as a friend.
The newly elected secretary Alexander Lotz reported on the activities of the men's congregation last year.
In addition to the Sodal festivals in Rechtmehring, Albaching and Hohenlinden, the Sodal festival in Altötting and the inauguration of the newly renovated church in Kronacker were spiritual highlights last year.
This year we want to visit the founding festival in Altötting and the Bürgersaalkirche in Munich - including the museum about the Marian Men's Congregation.
President Greimel emphasized at the annual general meeting that one should look for God in all things in order to recognize the “more” in the world.
After Corona, the Sodals should talk to each other.
Greimel also welcomed the networking between the local congregations.
Compared to 2019, there are even more recordings of sodalen.
During the Mass, the two New Sodalians Friedrich Reiser and Simon Weinhuber confessed to the Blessed Mother - a symbol of the connection to Christ - and were blessed.
They received a medal and the Congregation's manual.
Kurt Kern was also thought of again.
