The head of government of the City of Buenos Aires,
Jorge Macri
, confirmed this Monday that the day will be discounted for teachers who join the national strike launched by Ctera to demand a national parity with the Government, in view of the president's intention Javier Milei let the provinces be the ones to carry out the salary discussion.
"This is a team effort with the unions that sat down to talk and complied with the start of classes. 90-odd percent of teachers are teaching classes, and those who have not attended and joined a strike that did not correspond will take their day off," the Buenos Aires president warned.
Macri maintained that the money discounted to those who join the force measure will make up a fund that will be used to "reward teachers who are and are committed in the classroom."
