Niederstraubing

– When someone like “Krantoier Donerl” celebrates his 80th birthday, Hinz and Kunz come.

Anton Vielberger from Krottenthal invited people to the birth celebration in Niederstraubing.

And because he is well known and has been politically and voluntarily involved in many clubs for decades, the number of well-wishers at the Brenninger Inn was large.

Wedding host Xaver Reiser moderated the entertaining celebration with funny contributions and special incidents from the life of the person celebrating their anniversary.

The Holzland brass band under the direction of Sabine Wegmann surprised everyone with some pieces of music.

District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer, Steinkirchen's mayor Johann Schweiger, the two former mayors Hans Fertl and Ursula Eibl as well as Pastor Jacek Jamiolkowski also came by to congratulate.

The “Done” was born as the youngest of five children in Krottenthal on his parents’ farm.

After elementary school in Schröding, he attended the agricultural vocational school in Taufkirchen and worked diligently on his parents' farm.

After his basic service in the Bundeswehr from 1966 to 1968 in Munich, he completed three years of training at the agricultural school in Erding.

In 1971 he took over his parents' business in Krottenthal.

He married his sweetheart, Anastasia, née Schneider, in 1973. She gave him three children and she gave him three grandchildren.

In the same year he was employed at the Hofmeister dairy in Moosburg.

He worked there in shift work for 35 years.

He continued to run the agricultural business as a sideline.

Vielberger was a local councilor for 24 years, including twelve years as second mayor of Steinkirchen.

He has been chairman of the Niederstraubing comradeship association for over 40 years.

He also got involved with the Edelweiss Schützen, the Steinkirchen fire department, the Niederstraubing fire department club and the footballers from FSV Steinkirchen and FC Hohenpolding.

He was a founding member of the Holzland brass band, the CSU Holzland and the Oldtimerfreunde Kirchberg.

In order to stay up to date, even now that he's getting older, he reads his local newspaper every day and watches a little TV, he says with a smile.

And contact with his lovely neighbors is particularly important to him.
