A homeless man was found and arrested on February 19 for the murder of a prostitute in Strasbourg, which occurred in 2013,

The case dates back to June 16, 2013, when a
“putrefied body”
was discovered in an abandoned tent in Strasbourg, in Bas-Rhin.
This body, belonging to a prostitute of Bulgarian origin, was found
"with her hands tied behind her back"
, and a
"tie around her neck"
.
Around the tent are several cell phones belonging to him, which the authorities rushed to analyze.
The latter noted that the victim had stopped all telephone activity on February 27, 2013,
"the date on which the victim's death could date back",
i.e. four months before the discovery of his body.
During the course of the investigations, the criminal group of the Strasbourg Judicial Police (currently DCOS, Organized and Specialized Crime Division) discovered that the victim had left a
“strange farewell message”
to his loved ones,
“suggesting a departure rushed on his part,”

In fact, the investigation was closed in 2019 with an order dismissing the case, due to insufficient charges.

It was only three years later, on January 10, 2022, that the affair experienced a resurgence.

The authorities launched a new investigation, during which they questioned the suspect's ex-girlfriend.
During her hearing, she mentioned an
“episode of strangulation suffered during a sexual relationship, which she was only able to escape by freeing herself from his embrace”

A psychiatric assessment points to a “particularly impulsive, affectless and violent psychopathic personality”
in the accused

The police also realize that the man is active on the YouTube video platform, under the pseudonym Alex sans Civette, where he provides
"tips"
for living as an outsider, and gives his impressions on the drugs he uses.
Moreover, the authorities are carrying out scientific analyzes on the affairs of the SDF.
A piece of strap from the bag belonging to him was sifted, and compared to the fibers of the strap found around the neck of the prostitute killed in 2013: the analyzes turned out to be positive, and revealed that it was indeed the same strap that was used to strangle the victim.
Taking these elements into account, the Strasbourg public prosecutor's office opened a new judicial investigation and issued an arrest warrant against him.
The DCOS of Strasbourg found the trace of the marginal in February 2024, after he participated in a money donation to the homeless, via a mobile phone.
It is located in Paris.
On February 19, a Parisian police patrol arrested him, before being transferred to Strasbourg four days later.
Indicted and placed in pre-trial detention, the marginal remained silent before the magistrate, according to our information.
