Italian music journalist ErnestoAssante died Monday night just two weeks after his 66thbirthday.
Born in Naples in 1958, after working with leftist daily ilmanifesto he began writing for left-leaning newspaper laRepubblica, where he was correspondent until 2021 and responsible for the supplements Musica, Computer Valley and Computer, Internet and Altro.
In TV work, he had been a consultant and author of numerous programmes, including the Sanremo Song Festival, Italy's premier showbiz event.
