Karl Vancrayenest will park his 17 semi-trailers containing “the largest transportable merry-go-round in Europe” from Monday on the Reuilly lawn, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.
After long days of assembly, the “King” will make visitors to the Foire du Trône shiver.
But, this year, only for four weeks and five weekends instead of the usual two months.
Due to the installation of a huge reception camp for 4,500 soldiers who will secure the Olympic Games, the 350 fairground workers at the largest fair in France will indeed have to shorten their stay.
For its sixtieth edition, the Fair, which can accommodate up to 100,000 people on the best days, will therefore only be held from March 22 to April 21.
To the great despair of the fairground workers.
