The major NATO exercise is taking place at the US military training areas in Hohenfels and Grafenwöhr in the Upper Palatinate.

During increased military training activities, there may be “increased noise levels” around the Grafenwöhr military training area, according to the 7th Army website.
Large-caliber weapon systems are also likely to be used.
This was made possible as part of an exemption from the Federal Ministry of Defense, which applies not only to the current major NATO exercise, but until March 31st.
In February there would be practice mainly with battle tanks and armored personnel carriers.

More than 1,000 vehicles would drive in convoys to the Upper Palatinate, and another 400 vehicles would be transported here on freight trains.
The large-scale exercise ends on Tuesday, February 27th.
In addition, an increasing number of military convoys will be traveling in the district for a total of four weeks as part of further exercises.
