Resignations continue in the public media.
One day after the departure of Cristian Sedam as head of the Public Contents company (Encuentro, Pakapaka and DeporTV),
the deputy controller of all public media, Diego Marías, now slammed the door
, who lasted less than a month in his position. .
Macrista Marías, a former Buenos Aires legislator from the PRO
and who later represented the lawyers of the Federal Capital in the Council of the Judiciary, resigned this Thursday to "speed up decision-making," according to
official sources told
Clarín .
However, other sources who are critical of the official management assured that Marías had "strong differences" with the controller Diego Chaher, with whom they practically "did not speak" since "the relationship was worn out."
Both had
the obligation of a shared signature
to make any decision in the three public media companies: Télam, Radio and Television Argentina (National Radio and Public TV) and Public Contents.
Appointed by the Chief of Staff
Diego Marías and Diego Chaher were appointed as auditors
on February 3 by the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse
.
During this month they appointed the executive directors of Public TV, Juan Parodi, and of Radio Nacional, Héctor Cavallero.
In addition, Cristian Sedam was appointed general manager of the company that manages the Pakapaka, Encuentro and DeporTV channels.
But
this official lasted less than a week
in his position, since he resigned this Wednesday.
In Télam they did not appoint anyone because
President Javier Milei's intention is to close the news agency "as soon as possible"
, official sources confirmed to
Clarín
.
This newspaper announced this intention this weekend.
"We have to find a way to
close Télam and not have Justice block us from that decision
," the controller Chaher told his closest circle last week, who is working in that direction.
With the resignation of Marías, which occurred this Thursday, it will be necessary to see if Chaher moves forward with the closure of Télam in the coming days, as
has been announced for a week by high sources in the national government.
The intervener Chaher now remains the strong man of the public media, since
he will be able to make decisions on his own,
without the need to agree on everything with whoever responded to the hard wing of Macriism in the PRO.
Chaher is a Mendoza lawyer specialized in finding legal formulas for the decisions made by those who hire him.
He did this for
two decades at Grupo América, where he was Legal Affairs Manager
of the company of Daniel Vila, José Luis Manzano, Daniel Hochbaum and Claudio Belocopitt.
Before, businessman Eduardo Eurnekian,
who was head of Posse and Milei for several years,
was also one of the owners of that media group .
