The general meeting of the Stopselclub Kemoding in the Gasthaus Strasser was well attended.
Over 50 members, including many children, came together to, among other things, elect a new board.
And that resulted in a change on the front line.
Oberbierbach – The incumbent leadership team was unanimously relieved of their duties, after which Mayor Hans Wiesmaier led the new elections.
There was a brief silence when long-time chairman Marco Höllinger announced that he was no longer standing for re-election.
Wiesmaier thanked the community on behalf of the community for their many years of volunteer work.
Höllinger had the privilege of proposing a successor and named his younger brother Michael.
He, who had previously held the office of second treasurer, was then elected unanimously.
In addition, Andrea Huber (second chair), Manuel Höllinger (secretary), Stefan Obermeier (second secretary) and Stefanie Obermeier (treasurer) were confirmed in office.
The vacant position of second treasurer was filled by Maria Bart.
After the elections, Andrea Huber thanked Marco Höllinger for 18 years on the board, including 13 years as chairman, according to a statement from the association.
He was presented with a gift to great applause.
The new boss, Michael Höllinger, also thanked his predecessor and then said a few words to the members.
He emphasized that the cohesion of young and old was the top priority, but that the lively participation in the general meeting made him very positive about the future of the association.
The secretaries had previously looked back on the highlights of the past club year, in which, in addition to the maypole being put up, three Stopsler babies were also born.
