And especially since the pandemic and the crisis hitting the construction sector.
Between rising material prices, supply problems and business failures, the number of delays in the delivery of new housing has been increasing since 2020, professionals recognize.
For some buyers, the dream even turns into a nightmare.
In Seine-Saint-Denis, François testifies to this.
With his wife, both acquired a beautiful three-room apartment of 70 m2 off plan, just before the first confinement in early 2020, for delivery two years later, in the first quarter of 2022. The contract was signed for 350,000 euros.
Except that the pandemic broke out, delaying the construction site, before bad weather and new soil studies extended the deadlines further.
