Maxvorstadt is getting a new pizza restaurant, where a Hofpfisterei branch once stood.
Very special Neapolitan pieces are available here starting at just two euros.
Adriana Lo Schiavo (36) was born in the place where pizza originated.
Lo Schiavo comes from Naples, right “from the old town,” as she says.
She grew up with the local pizza tradition.
Now she wants to bring a piece of Napoli to Maxvorstadt.
She's opening a new pizza shop there soon.
The Napoli Slice (Barer Straße 51).
It is expected to open at the end of the month - the exact date has not yet been set.
“The renovation is underway,” says the boss.
Hofpfisterei had to move out
The renovation was complex and the rooms on Barer Strasse were getting old.
And the renovation cost her “a lot of money,” as she says.
The Münchner Hofpfisterei had one of its branches here for a long time, but it closed last spring.
Because of a lack of staff, as the large bakery said at the time (ours reported).
In addition to Barer Strasse, the Hofpfisterei had to close two other branches in Munich.
The wave of closures at the traditional bakery caused a stir at the time.
In the meantime, a café moved into Barer Strasse for a few months, but it also closed again at the beginning of the year.
The Napoli Slice will soon be opening here - there used to be a branch of the Hofpfisterei here.

Lo Schiavo then became aware of the vacant store on the Internet platform Ebay, which she now took over.
Instead of the royal blue, as was once the case at the Hofpfisterei, bright colors soon dominate here, especially pink.
“It should be modern and colorful,” says the boss.
Pizza slices start at just two euros
Lo Schiavo is no stranger to the Munich gastronomic world.
She has been running Sorry Nonna (Lilienstraße 7) in the Au for around three years, where she offers southern Italian specialties.
Back then, when it opened, it was a new beginning for them.
Lo Schiavo is actually a hotel manager.
Now her second restaurant follows, this time in Maxvorstadt.
There she wants to offer traditional Neapolitan-style pizza slices.
A corner of Margherita should be available for two euros, salami for 2.50 - none of the pieces should be more expensive than 5.50 euros.
Students should also be able to afford it.
