The SUPERmarket is just a first step in bringing life back to the old walls in the monastery brewery.

It’s “a great market,” says the customer from Bernbeuren, who went to Steingaden specifically to shop with her youngest child.

This Thursday, the new local supplier with sustainable products from the region and especially from South Tyrol opened its doors for the first time.

Steingaden – For Norbert Thaler, the SUPERmarkt is just a first step towards bringing the old walls back to life.

Currently there are mainly vegetables and fruit from South Tyrol, and South Tyroleans also get their famous “bacon” and cheese from there.
