125 g poppy seeds, ground or crushed
75 ml milk
30g sugar
20g butter
Lemon zest (optional)
The preparation of poppy seed fix is quick and easy:
Bring all ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan.
Reduce heat and simmer for two minutes.
Stir well.
Remove from the heat and let it soak for another ten minutes while allowing it to cool.
Use the poppy seed mixture in the same way as a 250 gram package of commercially available poppy seed baking.
