Früchtl consultant Christian Rößner emphasized to heimatsport.de that only clubs were considered in which the goalkeeper was number one between the posts. A rental business is being considered, as Früchtl announced even after his contract was extended.
Christian Früchtl: Contract with FC Bayern until 2022
The 20-year-old has been confident about the upcoming tasks for a few days. The junior national goalkeeper would like to collect game practice at another club as a regular goalkeeper in a higher league before returning strengthened to Munich and competing with Manuel Neuer and or or Alexander Nübel for the place in the FC Bayern goal. His contract on Säbener Straße runs until June 30, 2022.
The name Alexander Nübel apparently did not deter Früchtl to extend it until 2022. According to his adviser Roessner, he and his client knew about the upcoming commitment: "Bayern never played with the wrong cards against us, we knew something was going to happen there."
Martin Schmidt thinks nothing of the speculations about Früchtl
In contrast to Nübel, who is threatened by Manuel Neuer on the bench on the Isar, Früchtl wants to play. Possibly at FC Augsburg, who is said to have expressed interest in Früchtl.
There were rumors of interest from the Bavarian Swabians in the previous season. At that time, the FCA decided on Thomas Koubek. After a little more than half a season, the Czech is anything but an undisputed goalkeeper. Koubek came to the FCA in the summer with high expectations for an alleged transfer of around seven million from Stade Rennes in France. The substitute goalkeeper of the Czech national team proved to be very changeable in his performances and failed several times.
But Martin Schmidt (so far) holds on to his goalkeeper. As immediately after the 1-1 draw against SC Freiburg a week ago, the coach of FC Augsburg renewed his support for the critic who was criticized. The Czech new signing is the "clear one that we are building on", Schmidt assured before the Bundesliga match on Sunday. On Friday, Schmidt described speculation about an alleged interest in Früchtl as "total boulevard duck". Clear words that a trainer must say in the direction of his regular keeper - regardless of whether a recruitment is being considered in the summer.
Nübel's commitment leaves Früchtl cold
Nothing is decided yet. If Früchtl keeps the U23 box constant in the upcoming games, there will be further inquiries for the 1.93 meter tall goalkeeper. In the long term, the consultant sees the future of the keepers clearly at Bayern. "We want to position ourselves in such a way that there will be no alternative to Christian in two or three years," says Rößner. The Nübel transfer leaves him and his clients "cold".
Now it is up to Früchtl and Rößner to make the right decision. Because this can decide the career of the 20-year-old. "Christian certainly won't be put off from his path.
