Ripped off the hockey players of ESV Bad Bayersoien presented themselves in the quarterfinals for the district league championship. They won 5: 2 and 4: 0 against Lechbruck.
Bad Bayersoien - The quarterfinals for the district league championship in ice hockey had a special treat ready for the fans. The ERC Lechbruck, as the first in the district league 4, met the ESV Bad Bayersoien, the second in the district league 3. The interest was great. Around 350 spectators watched the two games. There won't be a third, because the ESV won the series early. In Lechbruck, the Soier won 5-2 on Friday. They made it 4-0 on Sunday in the Peitinger ice rink. The outstanding players were ESV goalie Martin Ullsperger and Florian Barth. The striker, experienced in the league, scored a total of five of the nine ESV goals.
Game 1
The ERC Lechbruck got off to a good start in front of a home backdrop and determined the game. However, the goals were scored by Bad Bayersoien. The guests were successful twice after counterattack - once even outnumbered. Barth scored both goals. Samuel Wörle brought the "raftsmen" to the 1-2 goal before the first break of the third. With a lot of momentum they wanted to tackle the second third and were badly surprised. Tobias Maier outnumbered the 3-1. The Lechbruckers were shocked. "There is no other way to explain long stretches of the performances in the second section," said ERC Chairman Manfred Sitter. Bad Bayersoien continued through a goal by Markus Hirschvogel. The ERC did not catch up in the final section despite Jonas Seitz's 2: 4 in the meantime. Ullsperger prevented further goals. Hirschvogel produced the final result. With a 5-2 win, the second game went for ESV.
Game 2
For Lechbruck a win was mandatory to continue playing for the semi-finals. However, the ERC did not want to be countered again and therefore acted a little more carefully. A disc loss in the game structure led to an ESV counterattack. Martin Maier gave the Soier an early lead again. Also in the further course of the game, the ESV convinced with a stable defense with a very good goalkeeper. Lechbruck ran, but had no luck at the end. On the other hand, Florian Barth was extremely accurate. The attacker scored a three-pack and led his team to a 4-0 win, which meant reaching the semi-finals. Bad Bayersoien will meet the winner of the third game between SG Schliersee / Miesbach and EHC Straubing on March 1st.
It is currently going really well for EC Peiting, who recently clinched the fifth win in a row.
