Earlier today, during the trial, the prosecution argued before the judge that as soon as Maguire arrived at the police station he tried to bribe the officers. "Do you know who I am? I am the captain of Manchester United, I am very rich, I can give you money, I can pay you, please let us go," the brakeman told the stunned policemen, who as mentioned had even punched him in the face.
On the other hand, the brakeman's lawyer claimed that the officers kicked Maguire's leg and told him, "Your career is over." A sequel is sure to come.
