Leeds United have yet to lose three times in a row in their return season to the Premier League, and tonight (Tuesday) they also avoided that with a 0: 3 home win over Southampton in a rematch from the 18th round.
Marcelo Bailesa is missing six players in the first meeting between the teams since October 2012, but Patrick Bumford, Stuart Dallas and Rafinha have promoted him to 10th place in the table.
The Saints interrupted a six-game losing streak with a 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Saturday, but tonight they returned to Suram and are just eight points above the red line.
They held on for one half until Tyler Roberts' deep ball found Bumford who kicked flat into the net in the 47th minute.
Defender Dallas kicked with the outside left and celebrated in the 78th minute his fifth of his Premier League debut season, and Brazilian Rafinha sealed the result with a free kick in the 84th minute.
