The chairman of the Football Leagues Administration, Erez Kalfon, is scheduled to hold a crucial meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) with representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Sports regarding the outline for the return of fans to the pitches in the second round, which is scheduled to begin on March 7.

The goal of the administration is to get permission to bring in an audience equal to a third of the stadium, so that about 10,000 spectators can enter the large stadiums, but at this stage the Ministry of Health is talking about 5,000-3,000 fans, depending on the size of the stadium.

The chances that the administration's requirement to admit an audience in the amount of one - third of a stadium will be approved are low, but it is estimated that the parties will reach a compromise that will be acceptable to them.

Once the amount of crowd allowed to enter the pitches is agreed upon, the teams will have to find solutions to the logistical issues related to returning fans under the new conditions, which as a crowd will only allow "green passport" fans - those who have been vaccinated or recovered from corona.

On another issue, a few days ago the administration informed the teams that it had been informed by government officials that a legislative procedure under the "green mark" in culture and sports would require employees (including players, SA) to have a vaccinated or recovering certificate. A letter to the teams in which they will be asked to prepare with youth players who will replace players who have not been vaccinated if necessary and will be forced to go into isolation in case of exposure to a corona patient.

The previous outline allowed players exposed to the patient to continue normal activity if they tested negative for the corona, but in the new outline if a player tested positive for the virus, all staff players who were not vaccinated or recovered from the corona would be required to complete 12 days of home isolation.

Thus, for example, in a team that has ten players who refuse to be vaccinated and one of their locker room friends is infected with the virus, all the unvaccinated will be charged in isolation and in fact half a resident team.

In contrast, players who have been infected in the last six months in Corona and are in fact exempt from vaccination for six months since infection, as well as vaccinated players, will not be charged with isolation in case of exposure to a verified patient.

Meanwhile, Betar Jerusalem, which was hit hardest by the corona among the Premier League teams with more than 20 players infected with the virus, decided to raise the flag and launched a "Go get vaccinated" campaign. This is to encourage the public to get vaccinated following the recent drop in numbers The people who come to get the vaccine.
